After thinking about this for several days, I realized that I could only think of two characters in fandoms I followed to whom religion was important. And those two might have been cheating, because one is a monk and the other is a paladin, so strong faith is part of the job description, either way. Apparently, I gravitate toward the characters who either feel that believing in gods only encourages 'em or who define themselves as theological Switzerland.
